On August 25, 2022, during the 4th Meeting of Logistics Industry Leaders, the editors of the "Rzeczpospolita" daily awarded the best companies in the Logistics sector and selected the Man of the Year of the industry. The latter title went to Ewald Raben, CEO of Raben Group.
Ewald Raben was recognized for all his activities and the European development of Raben Group. He took the first step abroad in 1991 and decided to open a branch of the family-owned Dutch company in Poland.
In more than 30 years of operation, he has created one of the largest logistics companies in Europe engaged not only in road transport, but also in comprehensive services including contract logistics, sea and air transport, FTL & intermodal transport and temperature-controlled logistics of fresh products under the Fresh Logistics brand.
Raben Group currently employs more than 10,000 people, has 1,300,000 sqm of warehouse space, and the company's global turnover has reached more than €1.5 billion. The Group's branches are located in 15 European countries: Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine.

However, this is not the first important award for Raben Group's CEO. Already in 2012, he was named Entrepreneur of the Year in Poland in the EY competition, and in 2018 he was the winner of the LEO award in the "Entrepreneur of the Year" category in Germany awarded by Deutsche Verkehrs-Zeitung (DSV). Meanwhile, in 2019. Ewald was honored with the Medal of the 100th Anniversary of the Restoration of Independence, in recognition of his contribution to the development of the Polish economy, awarded to him by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
Ewald Raben was born in Winterswijk, the Netherlands. He studied at the University of Transport and Logistics in Rotterdam. After the changes of 1989, he saw an opportunity to develop in the Polish market. At that time he bought a map of Poland and marked twelve points, which were to be branches located in different parts of the country....
Ewald Raben is not only the CEO. He knows logistics inside out, as a young boy he worked in the family business driving a truck or moving pallets. He has always been there for his team, sharing Raben Group's mission, vision and values. The company conducts its business in a sustainable manner, so ESG standards are an integral part of its strategy and have become part of its DNA.
