Over 700 families from all over Poland are able to enjoy Christmas presents thanks to the support Raben Group gave to the Noble Gift. The logistics operator has been a partner of the action for the second year in a row. During the Weekend of Miracles, 33 trucks travelled over 9,000 km and transported almost 600 pallets to about 60 delivery points all over Poland.
Transport is all around us every day and it is treated as a service so common and indispensable that we often forget about its great potential. And yet, it is not just necessary - in combination with human energy and good will it can really work miracles. Raben Group has proved it once again by joining the Noble Gift 2021 action. During the Weekend of Miracles which took place on 11 and 12 December, the presents reached 17,010 families throughout the country (which is an increase of over 20% compared to 2020), of which 705 owed the transport of their gifts to Raben Group. Once again, the company was a partner of the social programme organised by the WIOSNA Association, by offering its fleet and engaging its employees. Thanks to this, the parcels from the support warehouses in Warsaw, Gdańsk, Kraków, Poznań, Lublin and from warehouses in Bydgoszcz and Szczecin were transported to regional warehouses and from there they were delivered directly to the recipients by the volunteers of the Noble Gift.
“The pandemic is not letting up for the second year, making the situation of the sick, the excluded, the poor even more difficult. Fortunately, in such circumstances, you can count on people with big hearts and the Noble Gift which helped a lot more families than a year ago” - says Jakub Krzewina, Sustainability Manager in Raben Group. - “We are very proud to share our resources and expertise for such a worthy cause, to contribute to a wonderful endeavour that unites many people. Not only does it give us personal satisfaction, but it is also a way to implement our sustainability strategy, which takes into account social impact, among other things.”
Raben Group's involvement in the Noble Gift also increased in comparison to last year. Just like in 2020, the trucks travelled exactly 9040 km, but this time there were 33 of them (an increase of 83%) and they reached 58 unloading points (an increase of 16%), while the transports were handled by a total of 43 people (30% more than last year) - 33 drivers and 10 organisational and planning staff.
“Raben delivered packages to places where there are more people in need than those who could share. New windows, several packages of food and a warm blanket arrived at Anna's house. There were 705 such families whose world has changed. This would not have been possible without you. Thank you and we hope to see you next year.” – says Joanna Sadzik, President of the WIOSNA Association.
In the 21st edition of the Noble Gift, aid went to 17,010 families (3 thousand more than last year), for whom the world has changed. Smart aid united more than 704,200 Poles, and the total value of assistance provided as part of the Noble Gift amounted to nearly PLN 70 million. On average, 31 people were involved in preparing a parcel for one family, 7 more than last year. This shows that more and more friends and acquaintances are mobilized to prepare the Gift. Behind each presented figure there are the personal stories of those most in need, who have received not only material support, but also someone's attention and hope.
