Raben Group has received the Investor without Borders Award during the 14th European Economic Congress in Katowice. It was the only representative of the logistics industry among 12 companies distinguished in this year's edition.
The European Economic Congress, which took place between 25-27 April in Katowice, brought together representatives of business, science, politics and various organizations for the fourteenth time. The event was accompanied by the Investor without Borders Award Gala, which was held for the sixth time.
The idea behind the competition is to honour the most effective Polish investors who implement foreign expansion, as well as responsible foreign investors in Poland, who influence positive changes in the economy and labour market. The competition aims to promote model relations between the investor, the market and the administration - partnership based on trust and responsibility - which goes hand in hand with the economic effectiveness in implementing investment strategies.
Nominations were awarded by a wide range of experts representing business, self-government institutions, government agencies and institutions involved in attracting investors and supporting Polish economic expansion abroad. This year the title went to 12 companies from various industries. Apart from Raben Group, which is the only logistics operator among the winners, the distinction went to: AstraZeneca, Booksy, Cellnex Telecom, Coca-Cola, Google, Kruk, Maspex, Northvolt, OTCF, Synthos and Veolia.
The award was received on behalf of Ewald Raben, the CEO of Raben Group, by Magdalena Szaroleta, Sales Director of Raben Transport.
- It is a special distinction for us - she said during the gala. - Despite many unfavourable external factors in recent years, we have been able to pursue our development strategy. The recent acquisitions in Austria and Greece have expanded our network to 15 countries. We see that this strategy is the right one. We continue to provide flexibility and quality to our customers with our slogan "We secure your business", and internally we reinforce it with the value our employees give through their everyday commitment and passion - We, at Raben, really are "People with drive".
The title of Investor without Borders perfectly reflects the character of Raben Group - a company of Dutch orgin with over 90-year history, , which chose Poland as its headquarters, is present on 15 European markets and offers over 550 international shipments daily. The jury appreciated the expansion in the form of acquisitions in the new and existing markets, investments in logistics infrastructure, development of the network in Central and Eastern Europe, the use of modern technologies and initiatives for sustainable development.
