Raben Trans European Hungary Kft. opened its latest regional depot in Győr, Hungary. The 3000-sqm facility primarily supports the company’s groupage transportation operations, while it is also capable to offer standard and tailor-made contract logistics services.
Raben Trans European Hungary Kft. completed its latest development project. The logistics service provider established its centre in a new building of VGP Park Győr, adjacent to M1 motorway, comprising approximately 2,500 sqm warehouse space and nearly 500 sqm office and social area.
Currently the building is primarily used for cross-docking operations, closely related to groupage transportation. In domestic terms, the Győr-based region of Raben covers a circle of some 80 kilometres including both Sopron and Veszprém. The facility also plays significant role in the international network of Raben Group. Groupage linehauls depart from here to destinations in Slovakia, Poland and Germany on a regular basis. At the same time, every part of Europe is accessible from this depot, through the own or partners’ network of the company group.
The design of the facility and the option for future expansion make it capable for standard warehousing as well. The diverse types of docking gates can accommodate several kinds of vehicles, while the 12-meter free height enables efficient space usage. The building represents a high standard of real estate development: sustainability and low eco-footprint are evidenced by the BREEAM certification.
The completion of Raben’s centre in Győr is an important milestone of the company’s intensive development cycle. At the end of last year, two warehouses were inaugurated in Dunaharaszti and Pécs, comprising 40,000 square meters altogether. In the meantime, another expansion is also underway at the headquarters in Dunaharaszti.
Csaba Árvai, Managing Director of Raben Trans European Hungary Kft. said: „The handover of our facility in Győr is crucial for the further improvement of our nationwide coverage, as the new depot can take heavy burden off our Dunaharaszti centre. Moreover, it is an important element of our newly developed international groupage transportation solutions, which focus on direct connections with Western European destinations.”
