Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia joined the European Union in May 2004. At that time Raben Group also started its activities in this region. Nowadays we have three Raben companies in the Baltic countries, five offices in main cities: Vilnius, Riga, Tallinn, Kaunas and Klaipėda. There are over 80 Employees and we have over 3,500 m2 of warehousing and x-dock capacity at our disposal.
Raben Group in Baltics started its business activity in 2004 from branches located in Lithuania (Vilnius), Latvia (Riga) and Estonia (Tallinn), and after a year it doubled the number of Employees.Years 2004 – 2007 were “golden age“ in the countries. This period was handy for enteprise creation and development, so it had a significant impact for transport companies as well. During those years the volume of cargo transportation grew significantly, e.g. in 2006 transport sector accounted for 9,8 % of GDP in Lithuania. During this economically favorable period Raben Baltics went forward in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia markets. The company started offering fresh logistics services. Transport services sector is the one who is sensitive to changes of the economic "health". 2008 year economic crisis - a set of changes in the national economy had an enormous impact on the transport sector. During the Global Crisis Raben Baltics were able to maintain their position in the market and even increased the number of Employees by 14 %.“In March 2008, Raben Baltic companies successfully went through the quality management system certification ISO 9001:2008. This achievement has strengthened Raben Group image in the Baltic countries” says Audrius Losunovas, Managing Director, Raben Group in Baltics.Continuing the development Raben Group opened in 2010 new branch in Klaipėda city and offered a new product for Latvian market - warehousing. In 2011 and 2012 Raben Lietuva was rated by Creditinfo as the financially strongest company in Lithuania. It was also placed in 2013 among the 100 biggest logistics companies according to Verslo zinios.Nowadays Raben Baltics employees about 80 people, showing a significant employment growth since the beginning of its operations in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia (2004:6, 2009:39). By the end of 2013, Raben Group in Baltics’ turnover amounted to 8,4 mln. EUR which is 43 times bigger comparing to 2004. The warehouse facilities of Raben Baltics increased from 1,785 m2 in 2009 up to 3,500 by March 2014. Being one of the leaders among 3PL providers, Raben Baltics strives to follow market trends and to constantly develop itself in terms of purchasing new transport vehicles, enlarging warehouse facilities, improving the service portfolio and educating staff.
